It's the only way I can keep up with you since you're so busy all the time!! Always interested to see what you have going on! I also like getting educated on stuff I haven't heard of... like the Text Novel! Are they something that you have to subscribe to (or pay for?) I've heard alot about this IPad thing (they even did an entire show on Phil trying to obtain one in the last episode of "Modern Family.") What exactly IS it... and what use would I have for it? GREAT NEWS about your mom!! She should be back to "ramming speed" (got that from a Charleton Heston movie I watched the other night) in no time!!! Had a Surprise Birthday Party for my friend Sherry (across the street) on Saturday night, 27Mar. There were 4 of us that hosted the party (total of 13 women) for a Gal's Night Out - western style with hats, boas, fufu. We hired an obnoxiously-long limo and took her to the Alamo Springs Cafe (pretty much out in the middle of BFE outside Fredericksburg. They were voted the 3rd best hamburgers in Texas (and the burger even appeared on the cover of Texas Monthly about 6 months ago). We had a GREAT time (I'll send some pics). There was a fantastic country-western singer and we had the prime table right in front of him under the stars. We left about 10PM. At about 10:01 the place got robbed by some mental patient with a machine gun. Just missed all the excitement. No one got hurt (I'll send the article about that too). I have to wonder if the nutcase was sitting right there in our midst and waiting for the place to thin out. Collectively, it make for quite a Birthday Party memory. ;-) Other than that... just working in the yard alot!! DL Sandy -
